You must agree to these terms before requesting a hire quote
1. YOUR CONTRACT WITH THE OPERATOR
Motorhomes2go (the Operator) offers motorhomes for hire strictly in accordance with the following terms and conditions. By taking the vehicle you (the Hirer) are deemed to, and declare that, you have read, understood and agreed to this document in its entirety. The Hirer is therefore legally deemed to have agreed and accepted all of these terms and conditions and agrees to abide by them. Please read this agreement carefully. Please note also that Motorhomes2go may act as an Agent for some contracts in addition to acting as the Operator, in all cases the contract is between the Operator of the vehicle and the Hirer.
2. BOOKING CONFIRMATION AND PAYMENT
An initial payment of 25% of the total hire fee is required to confirm the booking, which is non-refundable. A binding contract for the hire will come into existence when Motorhomes2go issues your booking acceptance. The balance of your hire money is payable six weeks prior to the start date of your hire, or at the time of booking if you book less than six weeks from the start date of your hire. We do not charge extra where you choose to pay by credit card.  Any documentation you are requested to provide by Motorhomes2go must be received six weeks prior to the start date of your hire or within two days of booking if less than 6 weeks from the start date of your hire. Failure to provide full payment and documents as above will result in the booking being cancelled and the loss of your initial payment.
All cancellations must be notified in writing to Motorhomes2go, but please call us immediately to inform us as this will improve the chances of rehiring the motorhome.
If cancellation is received more than 6 weeks prior to the commencement of hire, only the deposit will be forfeited. All monies due and received within 6 weeks of the commencement of hire are not refundable except the insurance excess/damage bond, which is refundable provided that no other sums are unpaid by way of deposit or otherwise.
Motorhomes2go reserves the right to cancel hire if, at the commencement of hire the driver’s licences are invalid or not according to these terms and conditions or if the required documentation is not provided upon request by the Hirer. In these circumstances the total hire charge will be forfeited. Hirers are strongly advised to insure against unavoidable cancellation.
In the event that it becomes necessary for Motorhomes2go to cancel a hire whereby the Hirer has failed to send to us all documents asked for via the hire reservation form and subsequent reminder letters then in addition to the initial payment being retained by Motorhomes2go, 60% of the remaining balance is then due to the operator as compensation for loss of revenue.
4. COLLECTION AND DELIVERY TIMES
Unless otherwise agreed with the Operator, the motorhome will be available on the day of collection from the agreed location between 2.00pm and 6.00pm and must be delivered back to the agreed location by 11.00 am on the last day of hire. Late returns can have a significant impact on the next hire. If you fail to return the your motorhome on time you may be liable to an extra charge at the discretion of the Operator, but typically £50 plus any additional costs incurred by the Operator or Motorhomes2go as a result. There are no refunds for motorhomes returned early. Should the late return of the vehicle make us liable for extra costs (e.g. compensation of the next hirer) we reserve the right to pass on these costs to the Hirer.
Collection and return are not usually possible on Sundays or public holidays. Collection or return times which fall outside the dates and times given must be agreed with Motorhomes2go.
Occasionally motorhomes are not available as agreed, which is almost always due to events beyond the motorhome Operator’s control (see below). If your booking has to be cancelled (which the motorhome Operator has the right to do) Motorhomes2go, on behalf of the motorhome Operator, will offer you the choice of an alternative motorhome or, if no suitable replacement is available, Motorhomes2go will provide a full refund of all monies you have paid for your booking. The liability of Motorhomes2go will be limited to the return of any monies paid by the Hirer.
Replacement vehicles. If your chosen motor home is not available, Motorhomes2go reserves the right to offer you another vehicle in its place. This may be of similar size to the vehicle requested or larger, and will be similarly equipped. In this event, the Hirer is not liable for higher rental charges. If a smaller vehicle is offered and accepted, the difference in charges will be refunded. If a larger vehicle is offered, Motorhomes2go is not liable for additional expenses e.g. higher ferry charges or road tolls.
6. EVENTS BEYOND THE OPERATOR’S CONTROL
Unfortunately, events beyond the motorhome operator’s control occasionally affect bookings. When reference is made to such events in these Conditions of Hire, this means any event(s) or circumstance(s) which the motorhome Operator could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Neither Motorhomes2go nor the motorhome Operator can accept responsibility or pay any compensation, costs or expenses where the performance of your contract with the motorhome Operator is prevented or affected or you otherwise suffer any loss or damage as a result of events beyond the motorhome Operator’s control. This includes any delays to and/or restrictions to your hire to which you may be subject. However, if your booking has to be cancelled as a result, Motorhomes2go, on behalf of the motorhome Operator, will of course offer you the choice of an alternative motorhome (if available) or refund as described above. The liability of Motorhomes2go will be limited to the return of any monies paid by the hirer.
7. SUITABLE PERSONS
The motorhome Operator and Motorhomes2go have the right to refuse to hand over a motorhome to any person who, in the reasonable opinion of the motorhome Operator or Motorhomes2go, as applicable, is not suitable to take charge. In such cases, all hire charges paid will be refunded in full but neither the motorhome operator nor Motorhomes2go has any further liability. No one other than the driver(s) named in the insurance proposal form may drive the hired vehicle.
